The 777 aircraft type joined the Air Canada fleet in 2007 and is key to Air Canada's long-haul services. The 777 is a long-range, high capacity airliner which features Air Canada's new three class interior. Air Canada announced reconfiguration of three of its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft cabins, to increase the cargo capacity of the aircraft. The first aircraft conversion is complete and is now in. Other primary operators are United Airlines (96), Qatar Airways (81), Air France (70), American Airlines (67), and Cathay Pacific (65). As of November 2011, 62 airline customers operate variants of the Boeing 777. The following table lists of active operators of the aircraft as of December 2019. This version of the Air Canada 777 seat plan has two classes. All Air Canada Boeing 777-200 have a large Business Class cabin (called Executive First) with flat beds, which is split into two sub-cabins, and an economy cabin, which again is split into two.

The maiden flight of the first Boeing 777 passenger jet to Canada will take place this Saturday, Air Canada said Tuesday.

The wide-body jet will landin Montreal. By the end of the year, Air Canada will haveeight 777s in service. Air Canada has placed firm orders for 18 of the planes.

'As fuel prices go up, this airplane becomes a better and better buy,' Air Canada CEO Montie Brewer said as the airline held itsfirst annual meeting since it was spun off by parent Ace Aviation last year.

The Toronto to London (Heathrow) route will be the first assignment for the 777. Other routes throughout Europe, Asia and Australia will follow later.
